Refurbished Telephones

Refurbished telephones are an excellent option for every customer on almost any project. Customers should not make the mistake of using refurbished telephones only to replace legacy equipment that the manufacturer no longer supplies. Using refurbished telephones in that type of situation is a simple choice because it is the only choice. But refurbished phones should be a major part of any efficient telecommunications manager's portfolio for all projects. Most telephones can be purchased in refurbished condition regardless of how new they are, so always be sure to check for availability and know that your greatest savings are usually gained on the newer models. The only downside to using a late model, refurbished telephone is that they are not always available, so you may not get to take advantage of the savings every time. This may be particularly true if you are trying to find many phones for a large project, but make sure to at least check for availability and with a little planning, Axis may be able to find all the phones you need.

Use Refurbished on your Biggest projects.
When I a say late model, I am only talking about the latest models, because there are many models still being manufactured that are easily found in large quantities. The real sweet spot for refurbished phones are phones that have been in production for a few years and are still being manufactured. If you have a system that has been in service for over three years and you have an expansion planned, then refurbished phones are for you no matter how large the project is. You will have an opportunity to purchase the same model of phone that you currently have in service, insuring continuity for users and technicians. There is no real disadvantage with a refurbished telephone in this situation, because you will receive a warranty that is equivalent or longer than the manufacturer's, and you will be getting a phone that has been in service for a limited amount of time, which allows for very little impact in the overall life cycle of the telephone. The reality is that you will be changing out your PBX because of technology, before your telephones start failing.

Keep your telephones in service for a longer period of time by using refurbished.
Now that we are talking about life cycle, it is important to mention that many of the telephones manufactured today have a long life cycle and can be repaired even if they become defective. This means that keeping your existing telephones for as long as you would like is a real option. There are businesses still using PBXs that are thirty years and older. An option for these customers, that is not always considered, is the ability to upgrade to a newer model telephone. These customers will essentially be getting a face lift for their PBX, with very little investment. If you have an older system, talk to us about upgrading your telephones and giving your PBX a makeover for very little investment. The bottom line is, always check for price and availability on refurbished telephones, no matter what type or size of your project.

The Refurbishing Process at Axis Telesolutions, Inc.
It makes a difference where you get your refurbished telephones and not knowing that will cost you time and money. The term refurbished can be a vague term and is interpreted differently, so make sure you know what you are getting. When you purchase a refurbished telephone from Axis, you are getting a telephone backed by a company with an extensive history in refurbished telecommunications.

Our experience means we sell only quality refurbished product.

Our refurbished telephones go through an extensive process that starts before they are purchased. Axis is an experienced repaired facility, so we are familiar with every version of each model and this means we know which phones to avoid or at least which ones will need additional work. Most companies buy their hardware in a condition called "out of service working". This means that the hardware was removed from service working, but working can be a little misleading. The person using that phone may have been dealing with a little static in the handset, stopped using the speakerphone because the microphone did not work or had accepted the fact that the conference button stuck every once in awhile. Keeping failures to a minimum is our number one priority and we believe the most important element to customer satisfaction. We understand there is nothing more frustrating than replacing a defective telephone with a different defective telephone. Our telephones are tested several times in our refurbishing process and special attention is given to particular components, in order to avoid these little problems. Every telephone is unique, so the refurbishing techniques are just as varied, but the final results are the same. Our customers will receive a refurbished telephone that looks as good as new and is backed by an advance replacement warranty. Make sure refurbished telephones are a major part of your telecommunications management strategy.
